Lim Hong Zhe
My internship provided hands-on exposure to civil litigation work, where I was primarily involved in conducting legal research, preparing drafts, and assisting in the collation and review of case-related documents. This role helped me understand how legal issues are developed and managed from a practical standpoint.
Throughout the internship, I worked under the supervision of Associates who exposed me to a range of matters, including conveyancing, family disputes, and general civil litigation. Their supervision was particularly valuable in helping me grasp the procedural flow of cases and the strategic considerations behind legal decision-making.
This experience bridged the gap between academic study and legal practice, offering practical insight into day-to-day legal work. It further solidified my interest in litigation and reinforced my intention to pursue a career in the legal field.

During my internship, I had the opportunity to learn from Associates who guided me through conveyancing, family disputes, and civil litigation.

I was given many drafting tasks and received constructive feedback that improved my work, and I was encouraged to share my legal research findings and thoughts, which were met with valuable advice.
This experience has given me practical skills and insights that go beyond what my LLB degree could offer, and observing lawyers work in real practice has strengthened my passion for the profession.

Right from the start, the entire team was incredibly welcoming which completely took away the nerves of stepping into a law firm.
Working under the firm's Australian branch, my role generally involved helping the lawyers go through various records and documents to compile clear case summaries.
What stood out to me the most was how approachable and patient all the lawyers were throughout this process.
They were always willing to guide me through the practical realities of the profession, taking the time to explain the details.
Their friendly nature made it easy to ask questions, which allowed me to grasp the information faster and handle the workload with confidence.
